SRRSH pioneers the “Shaw Model” that combines Chinese and Western healthcare management models, leading the “Internet + Healthcare” model, and has become a benchmark and national model for hospital management in China. For four consecutive years, SRRSH has been rated as A++ in the national performance appraisal, among the top 1% of tertiary public hospitals in China. It has been the hospital with the fastest progress for two consecutive years in the Comprehensive Ranking of Chinese Hospitals. It is a pioneer in the establishment of the National Engineering Research Center for Minimally Invasive Instrument Innovation and Application. It takes the lead in the construction of the Regional Medical Center for the National Institute of Respiratory Disease and makes joint efforts to build the regional medical centers for the National Institute of Comprehensive Diseases. It has 4 National-level Clinical Key Specialties and a national clinical teaching and training demonstration center. With a unique international gene, SRRSH has carried out all-around cooperation with 35 globally renowned universities and medical institutions, including Loma Linda University Health and Mayo Clinic. SRRSH is a pioneer in a number of international accreditations: It is the first large-scale comprehensive hospital in China to pass JCI accreditation, the first in Asia to pass the Magnet certification and the first member of Mayo Clinic Care Network in China. SRRSH is also the designated medical institution for the G20 Summit, the B20 Summit, and the 19th Asian Games and the 4th Asian Para Games. In 2021, it was among the first batch of hospitals to win the title of “International Hospital” in Hangzhou with the highest score. The hospital leads the world with minimally invasive medicine, and a number of technologies and surgical methods are the world’s first. It has established multiple international joint diagnosis and treatment centers and research platforms. SRRSH’s minimally-invasive surgical techniques are applied in nearly all surgical fields, including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, head and neck surgery, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, and anorectal surgery. Moreover, it excels domestically and internationally in the multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of tumors, corneal transplant, assisted reproduction, and the diagnosis and treatment of low back pain, complex coronary heart disease, and atrial fibrillation.
