On the morning of November 16, the 2018 Autumn Advisory Board Meeting was convened on SRRSH Qingchun Campus as usual. At SRRSH’s invitation, Luo Jianhong, vice president of Zhejiang University and Huang He, party secretary of Zhejiang University School of Medicine attended the meeting as well.

During the meeting, president Cai Xiujun reported SRRSH’s achievements in 2018 to Dr. Richard Hart, chairman of the meeting and other board members and also put forward the strategic goals for future two years. Dr. Hart was quite pleased and satisfied with what SRRSH had achieved today. Later on, Dr. Hart presented a series of significant events happened in Loma Linda University during this year. Both sides have come up with a few advices for future collaboration. Meanwhile, Zhejiang University will continue to support the in-depth cooperation between SRRSH and LLUH.

At the end of the meeting, three parties jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Henceforth, the collaboration of SRRSH and LLUH entered a new phase of development.

On the same day, Ms. Chen Hongying, deputy mayor of Hangzhou Municipal Government visited SRRSH to provide some working guidance and meet with Dr. Hart as well as Loma Linda delegation members. The two sides have discussed in detail the “Healthy Hangzhou” initiative. Ms. Chen pointed out that Hangzhou will speed up the construction of Healthy China Demonstration Area. In response, Dr. Hart expressed that LLUH will cooperate with SRRSH to push forward the building of “Healthy Hangzhou” and make contributions to the goal of “Healthy China” construction.

Witnessed by Ms. Chen, Loma Linda University Health, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital and Zhejiang University City College signed a Memorandum of Understanding as well. The other presenters of this signing ceremony are Mr. Yang Jianhua, vice secretary general of Hangzhou Municipal Government as well as leaders of Hangzhou Health and Family Planning Commission and Hangzhou Foreign Affairs Office.
