Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Joined the Belt & Road Health Professional Development Alliance as Vice Chairman Unit

On June 25th and 26th, The Belt & Road Health Professional Development Alliance Founding Conference & 2019 Hospital Management and Cultures Exchange Symposium was held in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. Mr. Huang Xin, Executive Vice President & Vice Party Secretary of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH) Affiliated with Zhejiang University Medical School, and representatives from Center for International Collaboration participated in the conference.
In the opening ceremony, participants witnessed the founding of The Belt & Road Health Professional Development Alliance, with 180 domestic influential medical institutions included as its members. Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, as one leading model in developing and exploring international hospitals, joined the Alliance as Vice Chairman Unit. In the meeting, Mr. Huang Xin delivered a speech titled “the Development and Exploration of International Hospitals under Reform and Opening” to demonstrate SRRSH’s experience in international collaboration and international talents training, which was greatly recognized and praised by government representatives from other countries as well as hospital representatives.
The Belt & Road Health Professional Development Alliance will hold the spirit of the Silk Road to “cooperate peacefully, open widely, learn mutually, win synchronously”, to deepen the health communication and collaboration along the Belt and Road, and to support Healthy China strategy. SRRSH will utilize its unique strength in international hospital development and provide the Alliance with its valuable experience, to push for medical professionals’ training along the Belt and Road.
