In February,at the end of the Spring Festival, we passed through an ocean from Hangzhou to northeast city of Philadelphia in the United States, started a short visit at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania( HUP) which has comprehensive strength in the TOP 10 hospitals of USA.

The university of Pennsylvania (Penn, U-Penn), located in the east coastal city of Philadelphia, belonging to Pennsylvania, is a private university, which owns the world's most famous nursing school and the ranking of the top three medical schools (Penn Medicine), so the comprehensive strength ranks the top ten famous universities, belong to the ivy league university in the United States, students from around the globe.

I was impressed about two stories which I want to share with our staff today:

HUP has a magnetic certification with two times, They have many approaches to attract employees in working over there. Such as: Pre-service training of new employees is to let employees quickly enter the role, they pay more attention to provide new employees many training as well as motivate their positive attitude so that these people will be willing to stay in HUP, this magnetic training plan make their new staff turnover rate from 25% to 2%.

And they value their patients’ experiences very much. There is a new working method which called “Service Line”, They think every service like a circle has its own line, but every circle should be connected each other, they found each circle of the joint is the most weak for quality management and these points always happen various problems, so they set up a special department to coordinate and assist different service lines/circles to solve the problems.
