Biographical Sketch
Cai Hongxin, M.D. & Ph.D., Associate Chief Physician of Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Cai is a specialist in arthroscopic and open shoulder, elbow, and knee surgery, and sports medicine with a medical degree from Zhejiang university school of medicine. He has gained experience from treating articular cartilage injuries, meniscus injury and ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral conditions, shoulder dislocations, rotator cuff tears, and elbow injuries. He is skilled at performing total joint replacements as well as minimally invasive, arthroscopic procedures. He was trained as an orthopedic fellow at Loma Linda university medical center in 2015. He finished the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship (American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons) at Columbia Orthopedics and New York Presbyterian Hospital in 2018.
