Biographical Sketch
Liu Chao, M.D. & Ph.D., Associate Chief Physician of Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Liu Chao graduated and got his doctor degrees (Ph.D. & M.D.) from Zhejiang University in 2012. He was a visiting scholar at Strong Memorial Hospital, the University of Rochester, NY, the US in 2011. He is currently an associate chief physician in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Diabetic Foot Multidisciplinary Team of Zhejiang University School of Medicine Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. He has developed an effective technique for arthroscopy-assisted reduction and internal fixation in the management of malleolar fractures. He and his team completed a great number of cases of diabetic foot ulcers/osteomyelitis by using induced membrane techniques, and those cases make up the largest case resource pool in Zhejiang Province. He is the author of several peer review articles published in national and internationally reputed peer review journals. He is also a peer reviewer of the World Journal of Diabetes, Acta Orthopaedica et Traumatologica Turcica, the World Journal of Clinic Cases, and the World Journal of Orthopedics.
