Biographical Sketch
Hu Xingyue, MD, Director, Senior Attending and Doctoral Supervisor of Neurology. Dr. Hu specializes in management of movement disorders, ischemic stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, vertigo and encephalitis. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult dystonias. He has been the director of neurology, The Stroke Center and Botulinum Toxin Center in Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. After completing his fellowship in neurology, he accumulated a lot of medical experience of diagnosing complicated cases, especially in dystonia. He led the clinical and research team to develop a very active practice, providing a regional resource for differential diagnosis and therapeutic strategy of various dystonias, including facial spasm, Meige’s syndrome, torticollis, and muscle spasms.
He has been regarded as a representative and leading expertise on the type A botulinum toxin treatment in East China. So far, he has published more than 20 papers on neurology in SCI and core journals, and received three grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China and Zhejiang provincial research projects.
