Li Yumin, M.D. & Ph.D., Senior Attending, Master Tutor, Director of 2nd Ophthalmology Department, Deputy Director of Eye Research Institute of Zhejiang University.     

After graduating from Medical College of Zhejiang University in 1982, Dr. Li has been engaged in the ophthalmological clinic, ophthalmological education and research for more than 30 years. She has firstly carried out the Micro-Vitreoretinal Surgery and Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery at the beginning of 1990s in the province. She is good at diagnosis and treatments of vitreoretinal diseases and cataracts, especially at combined surgery of complicated eye diseases. Her expertise includes diabetic retinopathy, complicated retinal detachment, central retinal vein occlusion, complicated cataracts and other difficult ocular fundus diseases. She is one of the academic leaders of Ocular Fundus Diseases Society of Zhejiang.

Dr. Li has published more than 50 academic articles on nation’s professional journals at different levels, many of which were awarded provincial nature scientific excellent prize, provincial scientific-technological progressive prize, and provincial medical scientific progressive prize. She works as an editor of many national Ophthalmological core journals, such as Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology, Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases, Chinese Journal of Optometry & Ophthalmology, Chinese Ophthalmology Research and so on and so forth. Now scientific research projects I direct include, “Diabetic Microvascular Complications Research” (Tenth Five-Year Plan of National Ministry of Science and Technology), “Vitreoretinal Surgery Induced Chorioretinal Vein Anastomose Research” (provincial scientific-technological project), “Laser Induced Chorioretinal Vein Anastomose Research”, clinical tries of Ophthalmological drugs approved by SFDA (as PI).
