Biographical Sketch
Qian Ximing, M.D., Director of the Cardiac Surgery and Heart Center of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. As a specialist in the Department of Cardio-thoracic Surgery since 1987, Dr. Qian has rich working experience at well-known medical centers at home and abroad, such as Guangdong Huo Yingdong Heart Center, Shanghai Children's Medical Center, and Monash Medical Centre. He has been working in SRRSH since June 2010. He performs more than 400 heart operations per year on average, covering different areas, including robotic heart surgery (323 in total), minimally invasive heart valve surgery (1500 in total), great vessel surgery (900 in total), atrial fibrillation various surgical management (1100 in total), coronary bypass surgery (1000 in total), heart or/and lung transplantation (108 in total) and chest surgery (3000 in total). Moreover, he has published more than 20 papers as the first author and the corresponding author, and has obtained 3 patents.
