Biographical Sketch

Fang Yong, M.D., Vice-director and Chief Physician of the Medical Oncology Department, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. 

Dr. Fang specializes in local treatment (such as radiofrequency ablation), chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy of common and uncommon solid tumors, including lung cancer, gastric cancer, colon-rectal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer and cancers of unknown primary, etc.

 

Dr. Fang served as the vice director and attending physician of the Medical Oncology Department, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. From April 2011 to April 2012, and Feb. 2001 to Dec. 2002, he completed his postdoctoral training at New York University and Medical University of South Carolina, USA, respectively. His current research focuses on tumor immunological vaccines, tumor radiofrequency ablation, and molecular mechanism of tumorigenesis. Dr. Fang has published more than 30 research articles with more than 500 citations.
