Biographical Sketch
Yuan Yuehua, B.S., Former Director and Senior Attending of Respiratory Care. She was trained to be respiratory therapist in Loma Linda University for two quarters in 1992. Upon return to China, she began to take charge of the Respiratory Care Department. The Respiratory Care Department is independent to operate in the hospital. It is the largest and complete respiratory care department in China so far. The department provides respiratory care service such as management mechanical ventilation, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, PFT and emergency call for rescue in the hospital. Until now, the service above provided by the RC is really appreciated by the hospital, because the respiratory therapy is still not well developed in mainland China.

Specialty Interests
Yuan Yuehua has been interested in respiratory care for more than 20 years. Her expertise includes clinical practice, research and education. She has presided over two research projects and published more than 20 articles. The books that she edited and translated in chief are very popular in the field of Respiratory Care and Critical Care Medicine in China, such as The Equipment of Respiratory Care, The essentials of Respiratory Care and The Essentials of Mechanical Ventilation.
