Overview

Heart (cardiac) surgeons at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine diagnose and surgically treat conditions of the heart, coronary arteries and blood vessels. Our surgeons perform more than 500 cardiac surgeries each year, including complex surgical cases. As a member of the Heart and Vascular Center, cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons work together to provide high quality, comprehensive care with the most advanced treatments currently came out.

Faculty

In our department, we have more than 20 staff members, including cardiac surgeons, extracorporeal circulation perfusionists, and nurses. Our doctors make concerted efforts to develop an appropriate treatment plan and make sure that each surgery is performed accurately and professionally. Our team’s experts collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons and doctors in several areas to provide integrated care for patients. These specialties include cardiovascular diseases, gastroenterology/hepatology, hematology, oncology, pulmonary/critical care medicine, vascular/endovascular surgery and vascular medicine.
