Characteristics of Medicine

1. Diagnosis and treatment of severe acute pancreatitis and abdominal cavity infection

2. Diagnosis and treatment of severe infection

3. Diagnosis and treatment of severe pneumonia

4. Diagnosis and treatment of severe acute trauma

5. Diagnosis and treatment of severe heart disease

6. Diagnosis and treatment of poisoning

7.  Diagnosis and treatment of stroke

8. Diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary embolism

9. Cardiopulmonary cerebral resuscitation and hypothermia treatment

10. Management of critically ill patients with severe neurological conditions

11. Perioperative treatment for critically ill patients

12. Respiratory failure and difficulty in withdrawing mechanical ventilation

Technical Advantages

1.Continuous blood purification technology (including plasma exchange, blood perfusion, plasma adsorption), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in cardiorespiratory failure, MODS, acute poisoning and other critical illnesses.

2.Ultrasound guided percutaneous colostomy drainage of gallbladder in severe biliary tract infection, biliary tract obstruction, severe biliary pancreatitis and other critical illnesses.

3.Ultrasound or CT guided, double-pipe indwelling, by in-situ gradually expanded skin in severe acute pancreatitis, severe abdominal cavity infection and gastrointestinal fistula.

4.X-ray assisted placement of the nasojejunal feeding tube giving early enteral nutrition in critically ill patients.

5.Application of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and ECMO in patients with severe cardiopulmonary function failure.

6.The earliest established Professional Department of Respiratory Therapy in China. Treatments include bedside fiber optic bronchoscopy and bedside percutaneous tracheostomy, along with a standardized process for patients with difficulty in withdrawing from mechanical ventilation.

7.The first established MDT of severe acute pancreatitis in Zhejiang province. The departments involved include: surgery, gastroenterology, ICU, and ultrasound. Consequently, the mortality rate has reduced to around 5%.

8.A domestic leading perioperative management team for the treatment of critically ill surgical patients. This team has ICU doctors, ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation therapists, clinical pharmacists, dietitians, and a pain management team.

9.PICCO and pulmonary artery catheter for hemodynamic monitoring.

10.Early goal-directed therapy, standardized fluid management and hemodynamic support of severe infection and septic shock.

11.A professional training team with certification of basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ACLS) of the American heart association (AHA).
