Overview

The Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is among the first batch of National Respiratory Regional Medical Centers, the first batch of core units of the National Clinical Research Centers and the first batch of training bases for PCCM and respiratory endoscopists in the country. Our department is the director unit of Respiratory Branch of Zhejiang Medical Association, and the chairman unit of Zhejiang Pulmonary Vascular Alliance and Zhejiang Respiratory Endoscopy Alliance.

The department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine has a group of experienced experts, who are able to provide the most accurate Pulmonary and Critical Care. Equipped with a variety of international leading respiratory interventional diagnosis and treatment and training hardware equipment, the department is one of the earliest units in the province to carry out airway interventional diagnosis and treatment. We have been leading the development of a scientific and advanced standardized in-hospital prevention and control system for pulmonary thromboembolism in the region, and we are committed to early detection, early evaluation, early intervention and standardized treatment, and we strive to effectively reduce the incidence of VTE-related adverse events to ensure the safety of patients' lives. At present, more than 30 medical institutions in 5 provinces across the country has emulated and used our VTE system, together with three well-known hospitals in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Anhui. In addition, we are committed to the development of an integrated project of prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in the Yangtze River Delta region.

[Medical Care Service]

We specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of difficult and critical respiratory diseases, especially the treatment of complex pulmonary vascular disease, pulmonary embolism, and pulmonary hypertension, the early diagnosis of difficult pulmonary nodules, pulmonary masses, lung cancer, and the treatment of severe acute respiratory failure. We provide multidisciplinary specialty services such as Respiratory Intensive Care Unit（RICU）, Right Heart-Catheter, Pulmonary Endarterectomy (PEA) and Lung Transplantation.

Our department has a close relationship with Loma Linda University Medical Center and Michigan State University and a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Networks. The number of domestic and overseas exchange scholars each year is near 100.
