Overview

The Clinical Nutrition department of SRRSH, founded in 1994, is an independent discipline with distinctive characteristics of all-round development in medical treatment, teaching, scientific research cooperation, etc. Relying on the clinical resources of the hospital, the department provides nutritional services for all patients in the hospital. It is mainly responsible for nutritional screening, nutritional assessment, nutritional treatment and configuration of therapeutic diets for inpatients in the hospital. A number of nutrition diagnosis and treatment clinics have been established to answer questions and clarify doubts about nutrition and diet for patients with different diseases, and give targeted and personalized nutrition prescriptions and diet plans. The Nutrition Section is a special food verification and evaluation technology filing unit approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation, and has qualifications for product inspection, safety and function verification, and clinical trials related to special food registration or filing. The Department of Clinical Nutrition has won several awards, including "Top 10 Nutrition Departments in Zhejiang Province in 2019", "Top 100 Medical Nutrition Weight Loss Teaching Bases in 2019-2020", "National Outstanding Organization Award for Obesity Management in 2017-2018", "Nutrition Discipline Construction Advanced Unit in 2017", etc.

[Achievements of Research]

In recent years, the clinical and scientific research of the Clinical Nutrition Department has developed rapidly. The discipline has successively won the director unit of Zhejiang Nutrition Alliance, one of the Hundred Medical Nutrition Weight Loss Bases, and the advanced unit of nutrition discipline development in 2017. At the same time, disciplinary nutritionists of the department have honed their skills and improved their scientific research abilities. They won the 2018 Advanced Individual in Clinical Nutrition Research, the Qianjiang Nutrition Forum in Zhejiang Province in 2016 and 2017, the first prize of the nutrition paper young speaker competition, and the Second prize in the nutrition case speech competition. The members of the department have successively presided over and participated in 9 scientific research projects at all levels, published dozens of articles in various core journals (including 5 SCI articles) and obtained 1 national invention patent.

 

[International Exchange and Cooperation]

The department attaches great importance to foreign exchanges, and participates in domestic and foreign academic conferences 5 to 6 times every year. Members have been to University of Michigan and University of Shizuoka, Japan to study the latest nutrition concepts and modern management experience.
